A Project That Uses Alpaca Fibre
My Third Alpaca Fibre-Filled Vest
I just finished the third vest. The outer shell is a linen-cotton blend. The design of the fabric is like a page of script from an old scientific journal about butterflies. I thought it went well with the silk flower pattern of the inner shell.
This printed label was at the end of the silk kimono roll. I'm not sure what it says. Do you?
My intentions for sewing the Vests is that viewers can get their own ideas for what to crete with alpaca fibre. Our four alpacas will being sheared again this month and more fibre will be available. Let me know if you are interested in any for your next project!

A Wool Alpaca Fibre-Filled Vest
For this vest, I used a beautiful wool fabric. It has swirls of colourful wool threads throughout. I did the alpaca fibre differently this time. I did a layer of organic cotton on the bottom and the top of the fibre. I then quilted the fibre to the wool shell.

Spring Time Alpaca filled vest
This vest was quilted with Robbie's fibre. I got the silk from Japan. It is lovely silk from a kimono.
